Merry Christmas Heidi! How is the weather in Washington now. Here in PA we had about 8 or 9 inches of snow but then the weather was in the lower 40's with rain so now everything is either wet & muddy or wet & icey (yuck). I am not fond of winter but I think I would rather have a steady temp withsnow than this up & down type weather. Oh well I guess we get what the Good Lord gives us :-)

Hi everyone!

So glad to meet more alpaca folks! I got my first girls in 2004. This year has been pretty slow - one cria just arrived a week ago, and one more due in September and thats all for the year. Here is my new girl - we call her Lily. Best thing about her is she is the first daughter of my first born female cria. And I co-own her sire :) So she is a true homebred.

Christmas in Western Washington

I have never had a blog page before - might as well give it a try, and on Christmas Eve, no less. Well, it has been a pretty unusual last 6 or 7 days - we started Christmas break 3 days early because of snow, and it looks like we will have a White Christmas.

The girls have spent the last week under the shelter, letting me "plow" the way through all the snow to get to them. They enjoy their buckets of warm water, but my arms are sore. The boys don't seem to care as much about keeping their feet… Continue
