Rick and I would like to take a couple of our alpaca to the upcoming Mi show. Being new and this would be our first show, we'd like to know if anyone would be open to sharing a pen or letting us pen next to you for guidance and direction.

- I am a diesel machanic and have been in farming most of my life. I enjoy Bass fishing and meeting people. I also help other local farms that have Alpacas on my spare time. This helps me learn more about the Alpaca and stuff to look for on health and any other issues. I am a member of SWMAA and MI-ALPACA of cource I am on here and really like this site thanks to Maryann I have met alot more people on here. I am partners with my wife and her Mom & Dad her Mom Nancee got me hooked on Alpacas by taking us to visit some farms here in Michigan. We all love to show our Alpacas and very proud of our healthy and Happy Herd.

It's always fun to get together with other alpaca friends! Meeting was great. Lots of experiences shared which allows me to learn more.
I've got the party down on the calendar - we'll try to make it - we've got 2 cria due in August - one of the moms looks like she could actually go any time. We'll have to bring my dad with me - is that okay?

Just checking in to see how you are doing with the New Years.....
All is good here, the holidays were great, but nice to have the Christmas decorations put away for another year. I've decided that Mother Nature has not been happy this year, too much strange weather........I'm tired of these freezing nights! How has the weather been on your side of the country?
We had a new baby born a week ago.....a little girl (YAY) that's rose grey. We're thrilled. We were expecting a black.....so this was pretty cool!
Now that the holidays are over, time to get ready for the OK and TxOLAN shows! These animals keep me busy!!!

It was good to see you too and have a chat. We're working hard to get the barn finished so we can bring our boy home and get everything settled before winter moves in. I'm sure there will still be alot to work on inside as we will need to finish the vet room and the heated stall area. Take care and looking forward to our next chance to visit.

Thanks for asking about our Tutu!!!! Yes, she was 6.5 pounds when she was born and she will now be 2 years old, October 6th!!!!! She is now 107 pounds and still filling out!! She has been flipping her tail at the boys all summer!!!! I will have to post some new pics of her! She has become an independent snot!!! From the little girl that would sleep next to me on the rug in our family room to now running away from me to be part of the herd LOLOL. She will always be my little doll face and we hope to have some beautiful babies for many years. I just hope she doesnt take after her mother and not feed her own!! Her mother gave us our Peyton last October and refused to feed him as well. She wasnt as afraid with him like she was with Tutu but still wouldnt have him come close to feed. We are having blood drawn next week to see if she is preg and if so, due in April. Its....3 times a charm or 3 times your out for her. If you see a dark brown girl by the name of Willie up for sale ( and cheap) at the end of April on our site, you will know what happened!!! Thanks so much for asking!

- Hi Dave.....things are finally starting to settle down here! I have been so bad about keeping up on AlpacaSocial, seems like I never have the time to sit, read, and email!! The alpacas are all settled in, seems like fencing is never done tho....we spent the last two days fencing pastures off of our quarantine area for show quarantines. Babies are due starting in November, shows start end of Oct. for us......and I have family showing up the end of the month from AZ, KS & NC for a "reunion" at our place. Busy, busy, busy!!! I love the pictures of your new cria....the little white one with the black tail. What a cutie and unique coloring!!!! I hope all is going well with you all.......when is show season starting???
