OK-- new thought. Our workshop on "How to Be Successful Selling Alpacas" is coming up on Saturday the 15th. Anyone interested who isn't already signed up? CarolAnne Lonson and I are team teaching--it should be fun! If you can't come, share some ideas here. Let's talk about it.....

Hi, Everyone! Today was the annual SoCalpaca meeting, which took place at the Huntington Beach Library. Nice venue. The board did a good job to ensure a useful meeting. The next meeting is, as of now, scheduled for Oct. 17 and will be at Christine Hall's farm. Alpacafest West was a main topic as we need to gear up to get that going. Volunteers are needed! We need more members as well. If you {Cathy Greer, Melissa Custer, Janice Schneider, Cheryl Carter :-)} or any alpaca owners you know who are not yet members, there are two ways to join for your first year: $30 for your first year, but that does not give voting rights; standard membership is $100, which grants voting rights. Current members whose memberships have expired can renew as an associate, without voting rights, for $50 for the year. I think I have the numbers right! Just thought I'd put that out there for contemplation. We need more members! Website is www.socalpaca.org. TTFN!

I agree, Cindy! This will be useful for us all. And if there's ranch business, we can hear about it right away. Have a safe trip home! It's always nice to travel, but soooooo nice to get back home. BTW, the new crias are adorable! Hope to see you soon

We've been on vacation, but we're headed home today. We've had a bunch of crias born that we haven't seen yet. I can't wait to get there!

Good luck with your ranch hunting Cindy Myers. I am still working with the realtor in Colorado. The more I think about leaving you guys the sadder I get. I know what you mean about the confidence thing. I'm still working on it.
Have a safe trip and Cindy and Doug have a safe trip back too.
